Red Light Radio Mix: Around the World

Being located in the Netherlands RE:VIVE is spoiled to have access to Red Light Radio, one of the best web radio stations in the world. Orpheu and Hugo have been super chill welcoming RE:VIVE to their never ending roster of DJs and artists who consistently open the musical eyes of those tuning in. We feel like RLR is a great platform to expose new audiences to the incredible collections that archives make available for all to enjoy.

On June 13 we put together a mix of music out of the Tropenmuseum, National Library of France, University of Auckland, and Friends of Music Society collections, all of which are freely accessible and downloadable online. The mix journeys across Yemen, Afghanistan, Morocco, Congo, Mozambique, Samoa, India and Thracia with the earliest recordings dating back to the 1920s.

Stay tuned for our next Red Light Radio session!
